Location: Port Macquarie, Australia

Well, autumnal equinox has just passed and it's starting to cool off a bit. It's been a great summer with loads of time in the saltwater. The surfing's been awesome and the girls have had some great times at Nippers amongst other fun. Lots of bike rides and adventures.
Steve, Liz, Tom, Kate and Callum are expected in Port soon for Easter and we're looking forward to a fun time.
Check out the new photos.

Location: Melbourne to Port Macquarie, Australia

The circus went south for the summer and caught up with family in Melbourne. A great city, only the weather sucks, even in summer, no wonder it prides itself on culture instead. Jammin with the homies (in blue ribbon Glen Iris) and lurking amongst the tree ferns in Sassafras. The girls are next visiting family with their Mum, then off to Fiji. The things they are put through, I guess they're wondering what the poor people are doing this summer...

Location: East Coast, Australia

Signing on from Glen Iris in the leafy south east of Melbourne, and even the suburbs are looking a bit more yellow than usual being summer and after suffering 6 years of drought.
We've just made our way south along the east coast stopping off in Broulee, Mallacoota and Phillip Island for some great beach time with friends and family.
Caught up with the Goss family, Sarah and I met as teenagers on Broulee Beach and now have littluns doing what we did as toddlers, big nostalgia trip.
Flea gave the girls some great tuition on their boards and the improvement showed immediately. We also caught up with Kel, who I haven't seen for almost 2 decades, and Bel (Kel's daughter) who's now running the surf school. No photos, but it was good fun to catch up.
At Mallacoota we spent New Year with Sue, Paul and Kayla. Cloudy, cool and windy but we made the most of it and had a nice day at Betka River.
We all joined Steve, Liz, Tom, Kate and Callum at Phillip Island where the waves were plentiful and the kids blissed out. Had fun hanging out with the Grant families that keep growing.
The band jams here in Glen Iris tomorrow for the annual summer get-together, but the kids are planning to upstage us with their own concert first.
Check out the two new photo pages.

Location: Port Macquarie, Australia

Hi all,
summer's here and the light does justice to a couple of very photogenic girls.
Check out the indo boarding photo. Sequoia picked it up in California, Dad made the boards with some scrap timber and water pipes and now can't get them off them. We're working on juggling while boarding next.
The circus heads south for the holidays for longer days, cooler waters and family and friends.
Hope you're all well, Happy Summer Solstice!
Love Jai, Cassie and Sequoia.

Location: Port Macquarie, Australia

Hi everyone,
we'll put some more photos up of our recent adventures... but we've done some cool things these Spring holidays we have to tell you about...
We all went outdoor rockclimbing for the first time, Cassie did her swimming proficiency in the pool for Nippers (200m in 5.42 mins), we have had lots of bike rides, stand up surfing, indoor rockclimbing, barbies outside every night, lots of swimming, and the weather's been perfect.
Hope you're all well.
Sequoia, Cassie and Jai.

Sunday, 20 August 2006

Location: Port Macquarie, Australia

It's still August, but it might as well be spring, the sun is shining and it's gorgeous here.
We've just had the biggest weekend starting Friday night with the school fete, Saturday morning abseiling, Saturday arvo mountain biking by the lake, Sunday morning at Auskick (aussie rules football), more cycling (to Auskick then to do the groceries), and Sunday arvo a great surf at Town Beach.
There are two gutsy kids who are going to sleep well tonight. Both of them have totally blitzed it! Cassie's surfing is cranking, Sequoia laid a Brodie Holland tackle on a boy twice her size in football, they hardly flinched at their first go at abseiling, they rocked the dancefloor at the fete, and they did some technical riding through sand and over tree roots, ate well, helped Dad with the washing and hung up their clothes and other chores - mega kids!
There are 2 more photo pages going up, so check them out!
