Location: London, England
Seeing as I haven't got a digital camera, I'm going to cheat and post some photos I've already got stored in my computer. They're not of my current trip (England is not famous for its deserts, let's face it) but if I was being pretentious then I would say they are part of the same journey.
I took these photos in April, on a field expedition to the Simpson Desert, which is in central Australia. It was a two-week research trip with the South Australian Museum, looking for signs of the marsupial mole. The trip ranks high on my list of best things I've ever done. I hope you enjoy the photos.
Now in June, I find myself half a world away, in more than one sense. Since arriving in London 2 1/2 weeks ago, I have been taking things quite easy. The jobhunting is going OK, and I've got three applications under consideration. Fingers crossed! I've got a trip to France planned for the end of July, with my brother and his girlfriend. We're going to the Pyrenees via Spain, and I'm really looking forward to it.
