Location: Cambodia

goodbye vietnam,hello cambodia.

hy everyone!
after almost 3 weeks in vietnam, ive decided to leave, and move on to cambodia.
how was vietnam?
tell u the truth, not that amazing..dont get me wrong, its a beautiful country, and it has a few amazing places, but in the end of it,theres nothing there that stoppes you to say "wow, thats amazing"..
vietnam was too much touristic for me,and most of the tourist there werent backpackers like me,most of them were in their 50+,and a lot of orgenized groups, what made it hard for me to find any friends..well,i dont want to sound like a guy who complains all of the time,so lets just say im glad ive moved on.
cambodia is great.ive just spend 3 days in pnom pen,the capital, and i liked it very much.i went to see all the sites which regards to the cambodian genocide, and it was preaty hard, even to me,since ive been to poland..
now im in a place called siam rip,and tommorow im going to see the famous ankorwat, the ancient temples city..
a lot of kisses,
eyal

Location: Vietnam

viet nam,

vietnam is amazing,
no doubt about it.
its also far different from everywhere else i`ve been to so far..
i arrived about a week and a half ago to hanoi, the capital.
then i went for 3 days sailing in halung bay,a beautiful place, which have the weirdest landscape i`d ever seen, thousand of tiny little islands, cover with tropic,jungle-like trees and plants.
the whole thing look like something taken out of "treasure island"..
then i went to north vietnam, trekked for a couple of days, spent there "kippur",and saw again,an amazing views and landscape, and a lot of the different tribes people, whom their lives almost didnt change much the last 300 years..
right now im back in hanoi, and begining to move south towards ho-chi-min city..
i wish everybody a happy new year, may it be actually, happy.

a litle bit in thailand

hy everyone!
i have arrived to thailand a few days ago,and its a realy cool place.much diffrent from india though.
its like a neverparty around here..theres pubs and parties everywhere, huge shpping malls with mcdolands and other western food on every 100 meters.
the people are different too,not just the thai folks, the tourist as well, everybody seem to come to a vecation, more than traveling.quite a change..
ive booked a flight,on my own, through the internet(im quite proud of myself about that)to vietnam, and i hope ill like it thaere..
i wish u all a happy new year, full with love, sucsses, traveling and adventures.may it be safe as well.
kisses,
eyal

Location: India

so long india, and thankes for all the fish.

so thats it,
tommorow i am leaving india, its been fun,but its time to move on to greater things and bigger adventures.
me and yaeli said goodbye to each other 10 days ago in udaipur, rajastan, which was cool, she took a flight to andaman islands,to catch some sun,and i moved on to jaisalmer, which is a desert city, looks exactly loke the movie "aladin"...
it was nice there, but very very hot. very hot.take eilat in july, and add 100% moisture to it.
so i took off back to delhi, which is also hot.
here in delhi i tried to spend my time site seeing, and make the best out of the time i had left.
tommorow i have a flight to bangkok,
i hope it would less hot there..
i am not gonna try and summerize my indian experience,i will tell u all everything when ill be back..
happy new year and a lot of kisses,
eyal

Location: udaipur,rajastan, India

pushkar and udaipur too..

helo again!
in pushkar i met yaeli again and the meeting was very exciting..
pushkar is lovely, but the main thing about it is just a good place to do some shopping...
all the girls there spend a load of money on jewlarry and cloth..
me and yaeli stayed in a realy nice place with a swimming pool inside,it was so hot that we spent a lot of time in it..
from pushkar we took a bus to udaipur.
udaipur is a realy nice place with a lot of old castles and palaces...
u can see it in the james bond movie "octopusy" with rojer moor playin bond(although there is no doubt that sean connery is the best...)every day here its playin in the restaurants....
yaeli is leaving tommorow to andaman islands and i have to think what to do with the time i got left here in india...
truely yours,
eyal

Location: India

leh and kashmir...

hey everybody!
sorry i didnt for so long, the main reason was that in the places i`ve been the internet was very expensive...
so from manali i went to leh-an amazing beautiful place, all desert-like,with huge mountains with snowy peaks...
the road was not so difficult as i expected, but it was full with adventures..
leh was preaty turistic,i saw a few cool monasteries, and after couple of days i drove off, with a few friends,to nubra valley, which is a bit northen to keh itself.
we had such a wonderful time there, although i had a series of a unfortunate accidents, nothing big,(dont worry!!)just 2 punchers...but this things are part of the experience i guess.
we stayed there in a quite litle villige named panamik, there was there some great hot springs which we went to every night..
another thing, the way from leh to nubra is the most highest road in the world!!and i did it!how cool is that?
so we had back to leh, stayed there another 2 nights, and went off to pangong lake,a big and beautiful lake in ladak..
the road was amazingly beautiful, wild horses running wild, great views..until i had another unfortunate series of troubles..
it started with my gas cable which torn apart, afterwerth my chain broke, and then i brike my shasi(piece of the boke`s shield)...
i walked with the bike a few kilometers til we found a place to sleep in. the next morning my friend started to feel realy sick,so we decided to had back to leh some how.
i put my bike on a military truck which dropped me in the middle of the desert,in the middle of nowhere..there i waited a few hours, until a truck full with soldigers rescued me,put my bike on their truck and fixed it on their base...they were so nice!!
we spent one or two days in leh,and went off to sri-nagar,the capitol of kashmir.
on the way my friends bike got broke down so we put the two bikes on another truck, full with indians and spent with them all the way to sri nagar...
in sri nagar we stayed in an house boat-a sort of a boat which is also a guesthouse. i had there the time of my life. i had a litle boat and i went sailing and swimming in the lake everyday..
from sri nagar i went back to dharamsala, and right now im trying to sell my bike.
as soon as i`ll sell my bike im planning to meet yaeli somewhere, and spend with her the rest of the time i got left here in india...
kisses,
eyal

Location: Nepal

eyal`s spiti and kinnour motorbike trek.

where to begin?
this is most defenatly the most amazing thing i did since i came to indai,i bought a motorcycle, met some good friends, and got on the road,in order to go where most turists dont get the chance to go..
so i kissed yaeli goodbye(just for now!!),and started the engine, and so we started.
we started in manaly, climbed to rotang-la pass 4,050 m high, kept going.on the third day we climbed another pass, this time 4,500 m high. aftterwerth ew spend two days in kaza, and went up into the mountains to see kibber village, and the kee monastery.
the views in spiti were incredible,a huge desert, with snowy mountains all around us.
after kibber we took a turn south into pin valley, which was amazing,we slept in a village called mud.
the day after,we drove all the way to nako,a beautiful village, and we stayed there for shabat.there was a cool lake there and offcourse that we took a swim there.thats the place where i celebrated my birthday..
on sunday morning we drove to a place called kalpa, infront of a huge mountain called the kinnpur kailash.
the morning after we drove to a small village called saharan.we continued on to sang-la,a nice place, which we took from a day trip to another cool village called chitkul.
from there we got to our last stop in the trek an amazing place called jibi,we stayed there for shabat, and thats was the end of our trek...i think the photos can tell the story much better..
right now im back in nepal, making a new visa to india, the problem is that the i get only a visa for 2 more mounth, for some strange reason..nevermind,the next destination-ladak!!

daramsalla

actually, the place we are staying in is a bit far fron daramsalla,we are staying in a small village called dharankot, which is 10 minutes walk from meclod ganj, the town where the dahli lama ia staying while he is not somewhere in the world, giving lectures, and promoting peace, and the liberation of tibet from the chinesse.
mclod ganj is the place where the whole tibetian goverment escaped to,while china took over tibet. the whole place is full of tibetian monks, which is very special.
the nicest thing about this place,is that there a lot of all kind courses which you can take:starting with tibetian and indian cooking lessons,to yoga courses ect.
yaeli took jewlary-making classes and made herself all kind of cool jewlery.
i took a few sitar lessons, the sitar is a traditionaly indian instrument which looks like a very big guitar.
the place is realy great, and me and yaeli are having wonderful time...

Location: India

the sources of the ganga trek

from rishikesh we took a local bus(6 hours) and a jeep(5 hours)
to a town called gangotree.this place was unbeliverble.it was like being in swizerland...a green vally with huge trees, the ganga river, snowy nountain tops.so beautiful.
we spent the night in gangotree, and in the morning we took off to see the gomok, which is the glacier that the ganga river is coming out of,a very holy place to the hyndu people..we walked a day, until a place called banbosa i think,we slept there in an ashram, ate tali(local food) with the baba`s and the locals, and in the morning we got up,walked an hour or so,until we got to the gomok..it was very impresive..i hope that the pictures will pass the impression...
anyway, from there we walked back to gangotree, slept the night, and in the day after that,we shared a taxi with 3 guys we met, back to rishikesh..a long ride, but better than bus.
tommorrow we peobably be heading to daramsalla,i hope it would be nice...

india at last
after we crossed the border to india, which took us 18 hours on bus to the border,we took another bus(7 hours)to almora, and from there we took a jeep to kaser davi, which is a realy nice village, located on a mountain with a nice view and all...we stayed there a few days, doing basicly nothing, reading books and cooking our own meals, which was nice....we stayed in a realy nicr guest house called "flower house",there were really a lot of flowers in it...from there we took another bus(13 hours)to rishikesh, which is a nice city on the bank side of the ganges river,a holy river to the hynduism....rishikesh is also a world widly capital of yoga, but we didnt tried it yet....its really hot in here,so we spending a lot of time at the river, cooling off.
we are thinking maybe to take another trek to the gangas sources, what should be nice...
today is lag baomer, and me and yaeli are going to the camp fire with all the other israelis at beit habad.
hag sameah!!

Location: Nepal

the frozen lakes trek.
this one i did without yaeli, the main reason is that tis trek is more difficult from the annapurna, which we did together...but she had her fun without me,you can trust her to do so....
the trek was unbeliverbly beautiful, but more intense... i started it with a 1600 meter uphill, and almost most of the trek i walked in 4000 m high or more(which is far more difficult).....in the third day i got to the frozen lakes, and in the six day,i took the bus back to katmandu...the reason for my hurry was that i got a little bit sick, and i missed yaeli as well...i wish i could describe better the whole experience but i think the pictures will do better....
me and yaeli spend a few more days of relaxing in katmandu, and we are heading off to india...
kisses,eyal

Location: Nepal

we did it!!!!
18 days of the greatest views ever has come to end,the exprience was so great i have trouble express it with words....i just felt like walking inside of a painting...the great thing was, that the views keep changing, each day was different from the other: woods, desert, snow and so much more.
ofcourse there were a few hard days, especially when we climed high, but it was worth it....i know im not that much of a photographer, but ill hope u will get the impression out of the pictures..
right now we got back to katmandu, and im thinking about going trekking some more, maybe the frozen lakes trek,we`ll see..
thats it for now,take care
