John Henri's landscapes

Some of my latest acrylics, done from memory or from photographs taken on my travels while working for the FAO.
In case your memory goes back that far you might remember me from my teaching days at Royal College, Colombo or in the US during the 1970's.
At the time of writing (July 2013) you may be pleased to know that I am still around & the paintbrush is steady in my hand.

Dear Sir,
I could still remember in one of our English classes, may be at the time of your arrival in the class all of us were making such a big rumpus; you gave us lines. Graciously you gave fewer line to a small number of the throng. I was among this elite group. I still feel guilty as I was one of the noisiest!
I am known in the inner circles as one of the noisiest and toughest of the Trustees Manchester Buddhist Vihara; in furtherance of "Disce aut Discede" and very true to our Watch Word.
Proud and pleasing to have been your student.

Sukhi dighayuko bhava"
(Let all your fears be overcome

Let no danger come to you
Let you have have a healthy long life!!!)
