LONG, SLOW & WIGGLY: IOW to Cape Wrath by folder

This is the story of a journey from Culver Point beacon on the Isle of Wight, England to the Cape Wrath lighthouse in Sutherland, Scotland in midsummer 2004. It was a trip to promote the cause of sustainable transport, local food and a slower way of life as well as seeking out the small things that make life more interesting. It followed the longest straight line in mainland Britain but wiggled about to use the best of quiet lanes, country roads, canal towpaths and greenways. Just to make it a bit more intriguing it was ridden on a folding bicycle. None of it would have been possible without an award from UnLtd the Millennium Award Scheme for social entrepreneurs so check out www.UnLtd.org.uk
