Ash’s Travel Diary

Location: Sydney, Australia

MapHowdy hi!

Well, my bro & folks did come out & it was really good to see them. The first night was a sign of things to come, as we all demolished the week’s supply of alcohol I’d bought.

First day, I took them to the beach at St Kilda, where they soon realised the joys of Aussie life.
Next day twas to the MCG to watch another ‘pommy-bashing.’ The atmosphere was great though & I barely saw any of the cricket with the 80,000+ pissheads creating havoc. Even me ma had a good time. So you people who think a day out at the cricket is boring are in fact cretins.

Armo returned from his jaunt on the Ocean Road that night so we hit the streets of Chinatown, and ended up in ‘Ding Dong.’ It was like walking into a wedding reception, illustrated by them refusing my ‘Come On Eileen’ request cos it had already been played. About 30 Jaeger bombs later (no joke), we were a disgrace that night & the next day.
Me & Adam managed to leave the house at about 8 p.m. for more excellent Chinese grub. After that, all struggling, we went to Melbourne’s enormous casino complex to watch some Premiership. I had a few female friends in a club upstairs so we joined them & were stumbling out at 7 a.m. in total daylight. Luckily I managed to talk Armo & Adam out of betting their whole bank accounts on red 9 on the roulette!

Armo the animal was up 3 hours later & off back to Sydney never to be seen again. I think I could hear my liver setting off party poppers, as it’s been five very alcohol fuelled weeks. Good luck big man & I hope you return to a ‘C’ cup soon.

I followed my folks to Sydney on Tuesday. They’ve came all this way & it’s free food & accommodation, so rude not to.
Yesterday, we spent the day at one of Sydney’s northern beaches, Manly. Nice spot & the ferry ride up the harbour was impressive.

Am here until Monday, so I hope to do a few of the touristy things I was too lazy to do previously & hopefully meet up with a few old friends.
This is my 3rd time here & more than ever, I’m certain my preferred settling point is Melbourne. I’ll leave the elaboration til another day…

Stay safe kidders xx
