Location: San Pedro de Atacama, Chile

MapLeft lovely Salta for Chile on Friday. Another fantastic scenic journey but I paid for not taking any water onboard as the attitude gave me a killer headache!

Arrived here in San Pedro (Northern Chile) & love it. Quaint little village in the middle of the desert & surrounded by crazy rock formations & volcanoes. My only criticism would be that it is a little touristy & very expensive in South American terms.

Am knocking about with 2 sound Somerset guys & an Aussie lass (Nick, John & Amy). Is a relief as have been with people not on my wavelength. The last of whom was some very annoying Dutch guy who thought he had seen the lot after some organised tour of Africa.

Yesterday we toured around & went to Luna Valley to watch sunset. The name comes has the landscape is suppose to resemble that of the moon. Not having been to the moon, I can not confirm but I reckon the Yanks could have used the area for a conspiracy.

Tomorrow, we are doing a 3 day tour across the desert & salt flats towards Bolivia. It is suppose to be top notch so am looking forward to it.

Managed to watch the England rugby this morning. Finally, something to cheer about even if I am not a lover of egg chasing. Amy the Aussie lass even bought us lunch after losing the bet.

Off sand boarding now so must fly
