Location: Parikia, Greece

MapArrived on Paros yesterday, it's an island in the middle of the Cycladies so lots of blue and white buildings. Unfortunately we only had one night here because we've got to get a plane to Malta at 4am tommorrow morning. We got here at about midday yesterday and after dumping our stuff at the hotel we went for a wander around the old venitian bit of the town, lots of tiny streets wandering around a hill on which an old castle had been once. Then everyone else had a bit of a siesta and I went and had a look at the 11th century byzantine churh that was nearby, the attatched byzantine museum was closed for siesta but i did get back to the in the evening, it was full of beautiful icons. Then I went and roused mum and dad and we went down to a beach for a swim and a laze in the sun, for some strange reason Wendy and Pheobe didn't want to come, they stayed in their room, strange people. After our swim we went back to pick up Wendy and Pheobe for dinner. They stopped for a coffee while we stopped to check out the afformentioned byzantine museum. Then we wandered along the waterfront until we found a resturant at the water for dinner where we could watch the sunnset across the harbour. Then we went back and crashed for the night. This morning I woke up early and went for a walk along the beach while everyone else was still sleeping. Then breaky and bag packing, now I'm sitting in a cafe with a georgeous strawberry smoothie watching other tourists wander by outside, and writing this. Once I've finnished my smoothie I'll head down to the beach again for a few hours of serious relaxation before we have to get back on the ferry to the mainland.
