Location: Cork, Ireland

MapAnd people thought I was just being whiny about the rain. Ha. Nope. (Well, okay, yes, I WAS whining, but for good reason.) This has been an insanely watery-esque spring. Last Thursday during high tide (Cork is by the harbor at the southern end of Ireland, so the river goes through crazy mood swings every day with the Atlantic tides - sometimes you can almost see the bottom, other times it's over 20 feet deep), one of the bridges over the river that's about two blocks from my apartment was several inches underwater. Cripes. A brief slosh around in the flooded church parking lot before dinner, anyone?

Today, however, was our first day of full sun in two weeks. It was GLORIOUS. Chilly, but glorious. My skin might not be able to handle this, though - maybe I'm sunburned.

Ya know, I have a lot more to share than just weather info - I just have to find the time to sit down and type! My job, my living situation, the trips so far (Bandon, Cobh, Dublin, Glendalough, Waterford, Kinsale, and Belfast (Belfast, by the way, is one of the coolest cities EVER), the insanity of Irish culture, etc etc etc.

I'll get around to it... within the next thirty years. Ah well. More on another night - for now this girl is calling it quits and heading home. Later gators.
