Location: Cam Ranh, Vietnam

MapAgain I have left the tourist trail to spend some time in rural Vietnam. It is beautiful here; clean air, friendly people, delicious food, inspiring traditions & values. It is also stunningly poor. Families have very little money; the majority live in incredibly basic housing, sleep on floor mats instead of beds, and there are no traditional toilets or showers. I can't even begin to describe how different the life is here compared to life in Australia.
The more time I spend in Vietnam the more I grow to love the country. Government policy leaves a lot to be desired, but the people and the culture exceed these short-falls.
Tuan and I plan to ride back to Dalat in the next day or two.
