Location: Keswick, UK

MapI have had an eventful week in Keswick. On Sunday I had an argument with my boss at the sandwich shop, Tony, and neither or us were backing down. He was angry, I was calm, but we both felt strongly about the difference of opinion. It ended with him telling me to "f--k off and the get f--k out of my shop! come back tomorrow if you don't want to work in a f--king pub for the next 5 weeks!". I walked out and did not go back.
I have determinedly kept my saturday night at the Parkhorse Pub throughout summer, and most weeks Tony had asked me to give it up because "I give you a full-time job and it should be your priority". Needless to say, I am glad that I kept the pub job, as it's now my only job! I'm working there full-time from next week. They have been very supportive.
I am determined to learn from the experience. I realise that it always takes two for a conflict to arise. I've never been seriously told to f--k off, and I was surprised to learn that I could make someone so angry!
Now I am feeling sad about it all, as Tony and I were friends before I started working for him. I met he & Sarah whilst climbing in Thailand.
As my wise father says; "if the relationship does not work, everything else is irrelevent".
