Location: Keswick, UK

MapLights, carols, presents, food & drink. It's so darn jolly here in Keswick!
Today I worked at Thomasons the Butchers. It's a family business & they have a massive number of orders for turkeys, geese, ducks etc etc for Christmas. I have never known people to spend so much money on meat!!
Earlier in the week I helped out on a farm just west of Keswick, preparing turkeys and geese for collection. Again, a small family business with about 250 orders for Christmas. I was on plucking and cleaning duty. The children on the farm were incredibly excited to meet an Australian, and I was equally excited to meet children who entertain themselves & enjoy helping :-) I came home with lots of blood & guts on my clothes. It's a good thing I don't mind getting down & dirty...
Tonight I'm at the Pack Horse behind the bar, and tomorrow night I'll be working in the restaurant. This English Christmas Spirit thing is totally contagious. I haven't felt so optimistic about Christmas since I was about 10 years old!
I am helping Jan with Christmas dinner on the 25th. We are hosting lunch for 10, and we'll be roasting all sorts of vegetables and meat. I do like food...
MERRY CHRISTMAS :-)
