Location: Palolem, Gokarna, Panaji, India

MapHi everyone,

Thought I'd continue with the update on progress.

Since last, I spent some extra time in Palolem, Goa. So I'm really chilled out. We stayed for a while getting around by scooter and also getting to know some of the locals as friends and them showing us aound the places in Goa.

Whilst in Goa we briefly crossed the border to Karnakata to Gokarna, a very holy city. It was really traditional and cultural and everyone seemed really chilled. Not much tourists there so it was good.

Then to Cabo da Rama an old Portuguese Fort with good seaviews, and nice beaches. Cortigao Wildlife Sanctuary to find sloth bears, leopards, bison and cobras. But Indians promising and not delivering as usual. All we saw was two monkey, some red beetles and a butterfly.

After our stay in Palolem, we headed for Goa's capital city, Panaji.
Panaji is completely different to the rest of India as a whole. It felt as is we were in a totally different country. It's very colonial, with lots of churches and temples and no restrictions on food and alcohol. I was really surprised after becoming a vegetarian for so many weeks and all the menus in Panaji had chicken, beef and pork as well as bars! My carnivorous impulses got the better of me there.

The photos for these days are on my Palolem photo page.
