Govern’s Travel Diary

Wednesday, 24 May 2006

Location: Camp Stewart, Kerrville, USA

MapToday was a little different for 2 reasons...1...instead of the nice easy 9am get up of yesterday, we had to get up at 7am...2...it was inspection time. Anytime from now until the time I finish here, the cabin i'm in will be inspected. Obviously we didn't win, because i'm in the cabin but we'll endeavour to win...some day...maybe.

The main job for today was to go for a swim and get all the weeds out of the river, so that the speedboat can get through the water safely, however we had the arduous task of watching everyone do their lifeguard training while a power hungry lesbian lifeguard (no not of the good looking variety), shouted at everyone like a bunch of schoolkids, and to make matters worse, whilst swimming my nose decided to bleed, so I look like I'd just fought a grizzly.

After dinner it was cabin night, which for our cabin included a hike up Joy Bluff, the big hill in the middle of camp.

Whilst there we sang a few songs, made a fireand just chilled out, then back down in the hill in complete darkness back down to the cabin. End of day 3.
