Govern’s Travel Diary

Location: Camp Stewart, Kerrville, USA

MapToday was Judgement Day...The day we found out what our responsibilities are and which cabin we're in.

The morning was tense, nerves were frayed no-one knew what to expect, breakfast was a practical silence and then the time came.

The board came out with an almost regal-like presence.
Upon it were emblazened, the pictures of the cabin leaders, and the names of their co-counselors.

I looked in desperation to find my name, like a little kid at school, trying to find if he's on the notice board as part of the Basketball team.

But my name wasn't there...shock,horror.

As it turns out the idiots at Camp Stewart, thought it would be a good idea to place me in charge of an entire cabin, and not only that but one which would contain kids who are practically adults themselves. i.e 14-16 year olds, the one's who don't want to be told what to do.

The Cabin itself, is the newest on the site, so at the moment I am the envy of all of my friends on camp. New Bathroom, New Bunk-beds, new ceiling fans the works.

After Dinner it was time to revise for the tomorrow's big test on being a camp counselor.

If I pass this, then it's a well deserved 36 hours off.

Until Tomorrow...bye bye.
