Govern’s Travel Diary

Location: Camp Stewart, Kerrville, USA

MapI woke up this morning tired but refreshed, after what felt like an enternity, I had successfully ditched the kids for 5 whole hours of sheer bliss.

However it was back to the normal routine of activities for Jaguar Hollow. These last couple of days have seen the kids test me to my limits, but slowly but surely they are starting to settle in.

No-one has missed an activity...yet, and the food is starting to get better. It was pasta salad for dinner, and pancakes for breakfast.

My newly formed 'Stewart Ballers' all-sports team, suffered there first defeat at volleyball, mainly because of the fact that only two of them knew how to serve.

Today also saw the first dance for the camp, which took us all on a trip to Mystic Girls Camp. The kids enjoyed the dance to the extent that they actually managed to initiate communications with the girls. But the most fun was made by the Stewart counselors who kicked off the night in style with a conga, that got the kids involved.

The music however, SUCKED. From Britney Spears to Enrique, if could be classed as weenie bopper music then it was played, with the only comfort coming from ACDC's 'You Shook Me All Night Long'.

None of the campers died, which is a good thing...I think.

Until Tomorrow...
