Govern’s Travel Diary

Location: Camp Stewart, Kerrville, USA

MapToday was the hardest to get out of bed. I've had 5 hours sleep, and a kid decided that knocking over the fan at about 4am would be a good idea.

However there are no activities today. You've got to put it to the Chirstian religion for resting on the Sabbath. We had a short service at the Green cathedral. (A clearing by the river where stone seats are laid out) and then it was off to the lunch and the Senior side swimfest, which saw me pick up some of the worst bruises of my life.

Little did I know that after the kids had had their swim, their was the counselor 'Bellyflop' contest which only 2 people were brave (or stupid enough) to enter...one of these Daredevils, was of course, me.

There are 3 tiers to the what is known as the pleasure dome.
There is the ground level where the kids took their bellyflops from, the 2nd tier where my contender Dan jumped from (performing the flying squirrel) and then there is the 15ft drop into the water below which I performed the more traditional 'Starfish' pose, no less than 3 times from.

The photos are currently in development, but I am told that the shockwave was felt on the top deck...pretty kool I'd say.

The day finished with a campfire, where Jaguar Hollow had Hotdogs and Smores for Dinner. The best meal since I arrived here.

Until tomorrow, bye for now.
