Location: Camp Stewart, Kerrville, USA

MapThursday Morning, and the day that the parents begin to arrive for final campfire.

There are no activities today so instead we have to tidy up the cabin as quickly as possible, so that we can get rid of the kids, and so in turn the Camp can get rid of us...the stressed-out, fed-up counselors, who crave meat in the form of anything but chicken.

Thankfully my cabin, even though rebellious are pretty well-organised and have managed to keep all of their belongings within a 1 metre radius of their bunks meaning that, the cabin was tidy within about 3 hours.

After the cabin was tidied up it was time, to get the kids to shower and also to brush their teeth in order to get them looking prim and proper and reasonably hygenic for their parents.

The campfire was pretty straight-forward seeing the kids who had performed well over the last week congratulated as their parents took photos in a number which would rival any japanese tourist in London.

An observation that was made when greeting some of the mothers was how much they say 'Oh My God' in that annoying high pitched voice that women tend to say at baby showers, coffee mornings and many other men-free social events.

The Dad's on the other hand tend to compete and talk about who has the best car on the camp, which to be honest was a pretty hard contest to judge, considering the fact that a lot of the parents of filthy stinking rich, and arrived in everything from customized H2 HUMVEES to top of the line BMW's. However the clear winner was the Chevrolet Corvette C06 which came out only a couple of months ago and was finished with Chrome Alloy's and a black finish. Nice!

After the parents had left their kids behind it was time for the after party where we were given Ice Creams for the kids as well as sodas supplied by the parents, much to the delight of me and my co-counselor who had to stop these kids from bouncing off the walls, as the sugar rush turned them into a pack of crazed cimpanzees at a safari park.

Finally at 1am the kids were sound asleep.
