Govern’s Travel Diary

Location: Camp Stewart, Kerrville, USA

MapFinally, it's time for our last day of full responsibility of the kids here at Stewart, and already people are getting tense about the arrival of the parents and how much money to spend on 'Counselor Cokes' during the term break.

The morning saw the final activities of the term taking place, which gave me plenty of chance to catch a few extra-winks before the entourage of SUVs enters the Stewart gates at 8.00pm.

Instead of rest-period we have the Stewart, Super-cleaning time, which sees me and Brook 'The Aussie Legend' Kennedy, scrambling to get these kids packed away before their parents arrive tonight.

8.00pm arrives along with the rumble of suburban's that follow. The final campfire runs smoothly, and quite quickly so it was back to the cabins for the cabin party, the kids got extremely high on sugar, but they were calmed by the fact that one spoilt richkid, brought along his XBOX and a copy of Halo 2 to play on it. The kids played 'winner stays on', except that the one kid that couldn't be beaten was, of the 6ft 6', 230 pound going by the name of Steven ' The Governor' McGovern variety.

At 1.00am it was time for us to finally get to bed as the kids, knocked themselves out with their copious intake of sugar.
