Kirky’s Travel Diary

Location: Invercargill, New Zealand

MapHey folks!

Made it to Queenstown last week for a few of days and walked the Ben Lomond track to be greated by fantastic views of Mt Aspiring and Queenstown before heading down to Te Anau to walk the Kepler Track, another 3-day tramp, a couple of which were in the pouring rain, surprise surprise.

Once back to civilisation priorities changed and all focus was on the Reading Vs Swansea FA Cup replay on Tuesday...glad to say that Reading went through 1-0 after extra time, and I wont have to suffer any abuse from certain Swans fans...well played Richie, good game, good game.

It was at this point that Richie and I parted ways and he is winging his way up North to Auckland over the next week or so and heading on to Aus and beyond. Thanks mate, it's been a pleasure.

Next was Milford Sound. It's is a stunning spectacle, although as I've come to expect recently was somewhat obsured by cloud and drizzle!

So now I've made it down to Invercargill and off to Steward Island tomorrow.

On my wish list: A good nights sleep. Now I know what I've subjected people to in my drunken snoring states previously...please accept my apologies!
