Location: Niah Caves, Malaysia

MapJADED! Sometimes I think I am just jaded. This is going to be one of the great things about having Cindy's fresh eyes around. We travelled to Niah National Park famous for having one of the largest cave mouths in the world. It was also inhabited more than 40,000 years ago. They have found skulls and artifacts to prove it. Which is cool. But the cave itself is no comparison to the spectacular caves I saw in Slovenia two summer ago. Both Jimmy and myself were disappointed. The weather was hot and humid and all three of us were soaking wet by the time we finished the 10km hike and walked the 2090 stairs! I figure that was good for another lost kg. The accomodation at the National Park was amazing! One of the best so far. We had this huge room, a lounge, kitchen (which we didn't use), hot shower which has been the norm in Malaysia. It is amazing how different Malaysia and Indonesia are. The roads, infastructure, costs of things are all significantly higher and better in Malaysia. Tomorrow we are flying to Barrio which is on the border of Indonesia but still in Malaysia. It is a highland area and the cool temperatures will be a freshing change! WHo knew one could sweat so much! UGH! Can't wait for INDIA! Okay, that's all for now, I am going to try and upload some photos now. Cross your fingers! Love, Tamarra
