Location: Beijing, China

MapHey everyone....
Am in China already. Gorgeous sights here, we've been to the Summer palace, Tiananmen square, Forbidden city and have walked around the clothing, arts and electronic markets (anything you want, you get. but the starting price can be as much as 10x the real price). We had to get a new bag to fit in our shopping.
Speaking of bags, when I transfer flights in London, British Airways lost my luggage. I had to wait for 2 days to get it tracked down and delivered to me. So for that duration all I had was the clothes on my back and my valuables in my little backpack. Was scary, I thought I'll never see it again. BA gave me 35 Pounds compensation.. hmm not bad, more shopping money.

We hiked the Great Wall 2 days ago, man that was tough. It's all up and down and it took us 4 hours to walk the 10km distance but it was priceless and there were bits of snow from the storm almost a week ago. I'll post up the photos as soon as I can figure out the Chinese writing on the computer. This is the frustrating part of China, the language barrier. It's easier to converse in Spanish than to utter a few Chinese words. Worst part is they all expect me to be able to speak it.
Slightly dirtier than any other countries, on the way to the great wall we stopped at a toilet and it is literally a hole on the ground (Chinese style) and no plumbing!!!

Anyway we're going to Xi'an today and it's a 15 hours journey on a train and from there we'll try and catch a 3 days (approx) train to Tibet. We're in the process of getting a permit to enter Tibet.
