Location: Ushuaia, Argentina

MapWe left Puerto Iguazu today to catch an Aerolineas Argentinas (if they weren't striking) flight via a lengthy stopover in Buenos Aires to Ushuaia - apparently the most southern city in the world. As it was 36deg in Puerto Iguazu and like every other passenger, we were dressed in just bordies and t-shirts.

Upon arriving in Bruenos Aires we waited at the baggage collection point assuming (and hoping) the Argentineans wouldn't be organised enough to put our baggage on our forwarding flight. By the time everybody else had left and no more luggage was coming out we realised that maybe we should have taken a couple of jumpers in handluggage.

True to our best wishes, Ushuaia was experiencing an out of season blizard which made for some very funny looks from the locals and other passengers who had obviously checked the weather forcast and dress appropriately prior to departure.

Tomorrow we are going to try our luck at finding a last minute cruise to Antarctica.
