Sheena’s Travel Diary

Tuesday, 28 Nov 2006

Location: Cape Tribulation, Rainforest, Australia

MapAs we were in the rainforest we thought we'd get some rainforest action and what better way than doing a bit of 'jungle surfing.' Basically we were swinging off trees at the tops of the canopy suspended on zip lines 20meters above the ground. It was great, got some amazing views of the forest and i felt like tarzan..oooooo! This rainforest is the oldest rainforest in the world and we had stunning views and the viewing platform. We also met two ladies that worked there also called sheena and michelle, how random was that! The final glide was upside down, no joke, gliding through the rainforest! got some pictures too! It was fun but very hot and sticky, like 75% humidity. Spent the rest of the afternoon having lunch chilling on the beach until our mini bus was ready to pick us up.Last night in Cairnes so again we had to go out. We were told about this place called the Wood Shed, every one gets drunk and dances on the tables! such a crazy night full of backpackers.
