Location: Port Stephens, Australia

MapWe had a quick breakfast in the motel, had a shower and checked out for 10. Drove to Port Stephens stopping off in another winery on the way to sample a few more wines. Then we went to the beach and attempted to walk across to the Island but the tide came in so Micky and I just walked a little bit of the way while Kaka and Vinay went all the way. It was a good day at the beach, not too hot and there was a nice sea breeze. It was good exercise walking in the sand and it was difficult to walk along the sand because it was really soft and deep. We had a few snacks in the car then drove to the main Port to visit the chocolate shop where we ate some fudge. We met up with the people that came over on xmas day and decided to go sand boarding. Managed to make it for the last bus out to the sand dunes. It was so much fun but got sand everywhere in your eyes, ears, nose, mouth and even in your pants. It was hard work too walking back up to the top in the heat. We all managed to fall over or slip somewhere down the slope but it was all good. Havenít got any photos of this because the sand would have got everywhere in the camera. We were all exhausted after the sand boarding! We had some fish and chips before driving back to Sydney.
