Guten Tag!!
We write to you tonight from Salzberg. Last night we slept in Munich.

After 2 incredible days in Innsbruck we had to move on. We visited the olympic ski jump which has been revamped recently, and then onto the fabulous Schloss Ambras, which was King Fredrick II castle he built for his low socially classed wife. Amazing artifacts and armour!! Our first experience of it, and just mind blowing.

Then we headed to Munich, where our first stop had to be Hofbrauhaus. 1.0L beer and pork knuckle, and vienna schnitzel. YUM. The next morning was spent heading out to the BMW museum, which the boys loved.... and then onto the Olympic site. We have managed to walk around most of the city, seeing the sites and then some more.

This morning we have driven to Salzberg and have managed to see the Aldstadt (old town) in the rain (they tell us there are beautiful flower beds in the summer), we are just going to buy the postcard with them on. And again more authentic Austrian beer and food, and leaving us to where we are. Sorry for the hastie update. But good to know we are safe...

Lots of love to you all!
Julienne, Pete and Chris

ps. Europe smells like one big cigarette!!
