MapWOW WHAT AN EXPERIANCE!! The rainforest treehouse was absolutely amazing. We stayed at a 5 star treeshouse with our own private spa and balcony overlooking the Ithaca river and the Rainforest. We were able to hand feed the local parrots and other tropical birds as well as the snapping turtles and the brushed tailed possums, who visited us every night for dinner. We took a little ride out to Milla Milla and saw three beautiful waterfalls (took lots of pictures), went for a hike through the rainforest and went out to a small lake to look for platypus. They were really cute, alot smaller than imagined. This morning we enjoyed a relaxing brekky (breakfast in Aussie) and somehow ended up with a little bird inside our treehouse that wanted more banana. We took a scenic drive down the Gillies highway that cuts right through the rainforest (over 240 curves; this highway has Lumbard Street BEAT. Over 19 KM long). Today we are just hanging out in Ciarns and getting ready for our VERY early morning flight out to Hamilton Island in the Whitsunday's on the Great Barrier Reef. Looking forward to doing some snorekeling and possible trying out scuba diving out there. CAN'T WAIT!! GOtta run for now. TIme is running out and we need to find a currency exchange (again)...:) Having a blast out here but we miss everyone there as well!!
Talk to you soon!
