Andrea & KTQ’s Travel Diary

Sunday, 21 Jan 2007

Location: Edinburgh, Scotland

Mapjust returned from a little 5 day trip up to edinburgh and st.andrews.

we stayed with jackie and jon who were wonderful hosts! they wined us, dined us and made us feel oh so cozy in their beautiful old town flat located in the midst of the windy medieval streets right below edinburgh castle.
hiked up arthur's seat - 250m hill with a gorgeous view of the city.
made a traditional haggis dinner complete with cabbage and mash.
and found ourselves in many a scottish pub.
it couldn't have been more perfect - THANKS friends!!!

made the trek out to st.andrews.
turns out that while mr.james nicholson has been out there all this time under the guise of being an english master's student, he has actually been studying at the st.andrews academy for professional tour guides. shocking!
his hard studying has paid off though as he was both informative and eloquent. wandered about the coast, through the castle ruins and visited the birthplace of golf. our dear friend james has found a true talent here - never mind that silly keats.

back in london now - heading out to the country side to visit some Webber's on a farm - and then spend a few more days revelling in luxurious london life before attempting to navigate the crazy cairo streets and souks.

we've some photos posted if you care to take a peek.

love and miss.
