Location: Nelson, New Zealand

MapThe South Island what I have seen is amazing, abosolutely beautiful. Tracey and I travelled down to Wellington on Sunday and spent a day and half there. I'm afraid to say that we've had to spit company due to personal differences but are still talking! So I'm flying solo now around the world (with Frankie in tow!). Decided to head down to Queenstown area and find work there in the ski fields. As for the rest of the trip I think that will happen on its own. Going to stay a little longer than planned in New Zealand now though prob till end of August. It was agreed Tracey could hav ethe van so I on long distance buses - going to miss the driving! Though I got a bargain fair today from Nelson to Greymouth for $1.70!!

Wellington was a really nice city, lots in walking distance to see and do. Drove round the bays which are stunning and went up to the Bonatical gardens in the red cable cars which was really cool. Also got to go to the observatory. Had a lovely stroll around the botancial gardens, have to say thaey are probably the nicest I've ever been to. Cuba street was a little disapointing - I thought it would be more artistain.

Anyway I have to say I slept the whole ferry journey across the Cook Strait and spent a pleasant day in Picton yesterday. Loaned a bike from the hostel I was at and took a cycle out to star at the stunning Marlborough Sounds.

Right well I'm off to check out Nelson - food needed!
