Location: Brisbane, Australia

MapWow, time is flying by since we hit the road! I'm suffering from travellers mental fatigue, I can't remeber what we did properly last week!

We arrived in Brisbane on Friday evening after spending a boiling hot day at wet and Wild theme park, lot's of fun to be had there! Crashed at Ringo's aunts (Julie) place in a suburb called Sherwood just a short train ride into the city.

It was unbelievably hot on Saturday over 40 degrees!! After a quick jaunt up the city halls clock tower to take in the views we just hung out in the museum for the free air con! Thank God the wind had picked up and there was a breeze for the walk back to the train! Saturday night Julie organised a BBQ at Sherwood Forest Park (he,he) with her partner, his son and parents (whose desendants were from the Swansea area).

Sunday it was 10degress cooler so we took a drive up Mt Coot tha and did a short bush walk to a water fall with no water! Bit disapointing but hey I'm in Oz! for the rest of the day we hung out at the planetarium and Botanical gardens, which were fall of water dragons! Cool lizards!

Didn't get up to much yesterday most important was the visit to the XXXX brewery which was huge! and of course a trip wouldn't be complete without a few samples!

Last wek on our journey up from NSW we stopped at a few interesting sites, i.e pub with no beer, big banana, couple nights at Byron Bay where we shared the camp site with wild turkeys and goana lizards! Best had to be the first night campsite which was in a national park and had roo's bouncing right up to you the cheeky things! Oh and we stopped at the Koala hospital at Port Macquarie, so yes I am now believe that these icons of Aussie do exist - just the crocs to see!

Well better get on supposed to be looking for work!
