MapHere we go again, I will try and make up for lost time

Thursday night we walked down the road from the hotel and finished up in a very local restuarant which was packed ( always a good sign). The menu was huge but there only appeared to be one dish that was eaten by all - Suiki Iki. This involves a large metal tureen being placed on the table on top of a blazing flame and being filled up with boilng water. You then have to choose from each section of the menu at least one item, so from fresh seaweed to pigs entrails and so on!! - We managed this and then received a lesson in how to cook. Meat first, then fish and leave for a few moments, add vegatables and simmer, then the beaten egg and stir madly, basically soup with omelette. Each item comes in its own dish ands as you can see from one of the pictures, they soon stack up. We managed to clear most of ours but to watch the locals, it was a very poor effort as they just order more and more and then clear the cooking pot. Cheap way to feed the masses and not too much clearing up for the staff to do.
At least there was no rice and little noodles, could make believe it was good for the figure
