Location: Delhi, India

MapI am sitting here on my own in Delhi in a miserable hotel room overlooking a main street and miserable. Everyone else left last night to catch their flights home and I am here until Thursday / Friday. I do not want to do any more shopping, looking at old things or visit another emporium that the tuk-tuk driver is geting a kick back from but I think I have found a hotel from tomorrow that has a pool and a bar.
First task today is to go to the Thai Embassy and sort out my visa. I get there ok but am then told that they have a special place for visa'a which is about 10 minutes walk from my hotel - back to square one and start again. I have no idea how long it is going to take to get this visa so any ideas about moving my flight cannot be put into action. Find the place ok and then disaster, walk past someones car just as they open the door - blood everywere - 3 stiches in my leg - not happy!!!!!!!!! but my visa will be ready on Wednesday. Camels back has been broken and I move, sod the money. The Intercontinental is one of the nicest hotels in Delhi and not cheap. For three days I am going to live like a lord, eat steak and drink white wine - I must have looked really fed up when I arrived as they upgraded my room to a club room and included breakfast. The room is more of a suite with a huge bathroom, plasma television and everything else that you might think you would need. Not sure about having a bath or shower, so have both. Heaven!!
