Location: Singburi, Thailand

MapEarlish start today as we are going to see the old capital of Thailand, Ayutthaya and it is a bit if a journey to get there. There is something about yet another pile of old stones when they are seen from the back of an elephant - Ayutthaya is now famous for this. All I can think about is that in a short time, I will be doing this myself and I still do not know were an elephant's brakes are!!
Shopping is on the agenda after lunch at one of the large malls. The trouble is that everything is so cheap here from clothes to shoes to cigs that you cannot help but buy and then have the worry about getting it all home - watch out for the boxes that are flying in as I speak. Then off to the village were the elephants live. It was an amazing sight to see so many elephants all in one place and we were lucky enough to see one that was only three days old. I have decided not to go on about this or post any pictures as I am sure you will soon be over taken by elephants.
Back home and an early night - we are giving alms to the monks in the morning and that means a silly o'clock start.
