Kim’s Travel Diary

Saturday, 12 Jan 2008

Location: Sydney, Australia

MapA very early start was had today by everyone - Catherine, kevin and children left at about 4.30am! Amazing to remember those days when you bundled small things into cars and prayed they would not wake up and start the are we nearly there question and answer game. It feels really strange to be on my own again but other than my animal duties, I have offered to cover all Gen's school books and mark her new uniform. I knew in my soul that all of those years sewing name tabs on would come in useful!

I really still do not feel like rushing around and the weather here is really strange, hot and humid one minute and thunderstorms and lashing rain the next. It is to be expected as summer is when Sydney gets most of its rainfall. Derek, Ann and Co are all still here until next weekend, so I will still see people and I have plenty to do of my own with booking up some trips and sorting out coming home. I think a trip to Lane Cove shops will be enough for today and I can have steak for dinner.
