Location: Moab, USA

MapOn Friday night Ed and I ended up hanging out with a guy from Illinois, Kenny. He was in Flagstaff doing a wilderness survival course (or something like that) -sounded really interesting. He is also a climber with a wealth of information to share which led to a really interesting array of topics discussed over the duration of the night!
When I met Simon & Ed I suggested they join me on my road trip. Simon couldn't as he had plans but after re-organising a few things Ed decided to come along, so on Saturday we headed off from Flagstaff to Indian Creek.
Fortunately I stumbled across a website that described how to get to a secluded campground, away from all of the RVs -and itw as a gem! We camped there on Saturday night and toured around yesterday morning seeing the sights and looking at all the climbing (from the ground :o( )!
We met a couple of climbers from Washington State, Jason & Rhiannon, who were travelling around climbing 17 days -very jealous indeed!
After leaving Indian Creek we were headed to Moab, stopping along the way for photo opportunities!
BUT then the fuel light came on!! Uhoh! We figured we had about 45 miles up our sleeve but it was about 60 miles to Moab! I was laughing because my saying all along this trip has been, 'what could possibly go wrong?' -and everything always seems to work itself out -which it did as we entered the outskirts of Moab sooner than expected!
We checked in to the hostel, an absolute bargain at $9/night for a dorm bed and then drove up to Arches NP.
Arches is incredible! The red rock and the views were spectacular.. I'll let photos do the talking when I next upload them.
I'll definately be coming back here one day -it's an adventure capitol!
...Today we're off to Bryce NP for a few days after a few loads of washing at the laundromat and some breakfast!
