Matty’s Travel Diary

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands

MapLadies and Gentlemen, we've arrived.

First off, our damn travel took about 21 hours from Calgary. We were all real happy about that. Air Transit can go right ahead and stick it where the sun don't shine.

Onto more important things, we are in Amsterdam, sitting back and enjoying the ride. This is a pretty wild city to get used to. Lots of cool scenery, canals, coffeeshops and some funky shows for the older crowd. I keep telling Dave that I'm gonna make one of those classy ladies my wife. One day... We're going out late tonight to get a taste of the nightlife here. I should be able to bring back a story. Dave's a lock, Ryan too.

If you ever get around to these parts, you need to try some local pancakes. They taste an awful lot like beaver tails, if you've had one. You get one large, circular pancake with your choice of topping, anything under the sun.

It's happy hour at the Hostel bar. I need some beer. Dave's going to look up how to say goodbye in Dutch on the internet. I have no clue, and no idea how to do it myself.

Tot ziens (dammit, i KNEW it!)
