Alaska’s Travel Diary

Saturday, 21 Jul 2007

Location: Dillon, Montana, USA

MapThis has been an uneventful day, and a long one, but we made good time and ended up in Dillon Montana, the whole way, seeing the smokey haze that has been caused by the fires in Nevada and Utah. Audrey made potholders and I am going to teach her how to make a baby quilt that I bought for her to make. I am making a cross stitch xmas table cloth for mom's game table. Jennifer was making a punch embroidery, but got frustrated with it and gave it up for now. We saw absolutely no wild life which is highly unusual. When we go the Amarillo/New Mexico route, we usually see antelope all over the place, but noooooo!! nada...We are looking forward to making it to British Columbia tomorrow, buying the new Harry Potter book, feeling the cooler weather, and enjoying the gorgeous BC scenery. Enya and Supertramp were the albums of the day. We just finished listening to an audio of Evanovich's Stephanie Plum and laughed at the shenanigans of that 'bounty hunter'. We are anxious to make movies to show you so get ready!!

If you read our blog, be sure and send us a message and view our pictures when you have a chance...Love to you all!!

P.S. Gwynne failed to mention that after our great Montana steak dinner at The Lion's Den, she dropped us off at the motel and went back to Lucky Lil's Casino to play the slots. One hour and $15 later, she returned. I am looking into Gambleholics Anonymous for her before we return to Las Vegas on the return trip.
