Alaska’s Travel Diary

Location: Ninilchik, USA

MapA rainy day here, but got to the Senior Center where there are rooms set aside for games, computers and of course a big dining area...Jennifer, Dylan, John and Pam are traveling around the Russian Village looking around...very laid back and stress...(Gwynne)
The rain is in the forecast for a few days. Two days ago it was B-E-A-Utiful, but windy. The temperature has been hovering in the 50's. They say they doubt they will have a summer, but I can't believe it will stay like this for three months. We'll think positive!
Big breakfast then a visit from our host, Bob Jones, was in order for the morning. Soon after the gang left me and Dylan alone as they went to the Senior Center. I'm not old enough to go yet! LOL! After John & Pam returned, Dylan and I joined them in their car for a little tour of Ninilchik....the Russian Orthodox Church, the Russian Village, the Ninilchik River and dock, the cannery, the Deep Creek dock with skidders loading up the boats, a tour of Gene's subdivision, etc.....home by 3:00 to relax.
Gwynne is talking to clients in Bob's house office and will be back in a few hours when we will have taco salad after happy hour. We will venture out to Homer when weather permits within the next couple of days. (Jennifer)
