Alaska’s Travel Diary

MapSunday’s Message:
What a perfect day for lounging around with nothing to do. BJ and all company left the compound and it is only the family occupying the A-frame on the property that remains…..late to wake-up, coffee, and a rainy day…the first in over a week. The daily temperature ranged from the 40’s to the 50’s. It’s amazing what the sun does to warm up things around here.
We spent an hour or so, relocating all our computer gear to Bob’s garage just to find that Gwynne’s hot spot, today, worked better….very frustrating….so we returned home. Gwynne began barbecued chicken for a late lunch/early dinner with Gene. A game of cribbage ensued on his arrival and yours truly won again. Gene literally got ‘skunked’. He and Gwynne are going to change to Pinochle. I shall pass. Dylan wants me to play hide-and-go-seek.
Bob has assigned me a duty in his absence….to water the plants in the greenhouse. Little does he know I do not have a green thumb. I will do the best I can.
We had a great conversation with Tracy this evening, while Gwynne’s banana nut bread baked. She made a run to the General Store for lemon for a ‘buttermilk’ substitute.
I have made great progress in my jigsaw puzzle. Check it out.
Tomorrow Dylan plays with other kids at Soccer Camp (short lived-one day).
