Alaska’s Travel Diary

Location: USA

MapThis, the last day for Dylan's VBS, we have nothing on the agenda except to get geared up for fishing season. I have my waders and pole, but Gene has vowed a fly rod is better than a spinning rod. So, I will test both on Monday and see which one works best. For me, the test will be whichever one catches a sockeye. Gene says we will go later Monday rather than earlier Monday since they will be sleeping in after picking Alton up in Kenai at the airport after midnight. Starting Monday, I think we will be short of r and r time. I've rested long enough.
We hope to take some pictures of Dylan's camp luncheon and program (if they have one). His mommy visited the same camp in 1998 for the first of several it's a family tradition.
There is a scheduled electrical outage on parts of the Kenai Peninsula today, Ninilchik included. This will be from 10:00 a.m. to 10:20 a.m. Signs were posted around town AND homeowners got phone calls for the announcement.(Jennifer)
