MapThere isn't much time to just sit at the computer and work when there are fish to be caught. I've only skipped out one of two days in a two-week period of getting up at 3:30 a.m. and/or standing on my feet for 12+ hours. When I say 'standing' I don't mean idley (if that's a word). I am fishing, netting, walking, casting, cleaning fish, etc. I just keep my sights on the big picture.....nice wild salmon to eat and a bed to sleep in when it's over. I am up to 6 Sockeye, but have missed hundreds. Hooking the darn thing in the 'mouth' instead of snagging in the tail, stomach, fin, or just setting the hook in general, I have done hundreds of times.
Whilst fishing, Gwynne tries to entertain Dylan. He is showing signs of being homesick, evident from his new tantrums and is currently on restriction/grounded...LOL. I appreciate all Gwynne's help. His mom calls everyday or every other day to talk to him. I'm sure she will see a change in him...growth, maturity, looks, intelligence.
Today we are fixing lox and clam chowder followed by Giridelli brownies for Gene and Alton after their church services. Tomorrow we will resume fishing. Tomorrow, hopefully, I will have time to upload the 30+ pictures I have stored on my phone.(Jennifer)
