Location: Invacargil, New Zealand

Maphi everyone - just a quick note to say that we have seen our 1st wild penguin! A rare yellow eyed penguin. We had a fantastic journey today from Dunedin to Invacargil along the scenic coastal route (not boring at all). We visited a Bay which has the best petrified forest in it - very unusual to walk on and that is where I spotted the penquin. He was waddling along going to his nest in some bush. He was so adorable and not at all fazed by humans. We also took a walk to see another waterfall but this time it only took us 8 minutes to get there. The weather has turned fine again so we are happy. I hear that England is experiencing some bad weather - poor you!! I hope it is not too cold. Today it has been about 24C which is comfortable for driving in. Well wrap up warm and take care.
