Anita and Bernie’s Travel Diary

Tuesday, 26 Feb 2008

Location: Sydney, Australia

MapG'day all. Our last day in Sydney until a month's time. We are looking forward to moving on to Cairns to be next to the sea and swimming. I had my stitches out yesterday but it is still bandaged up with a splint because of the fracture. Bernie has bought some micropore strip today to take off the constricting bandage and try to make it more comfortable.
We have done most of the tourist trail of Sydney eg the monorail, the Harbours, shopping Malls and Quays. Today we are going for culture and visiting the Art Gallery of New South Wales which has an extensive Aboriginal art exhibition.
If you were watching the news on Sunday you might have seen the news item/pictures of the QE2 and Queen Victoria cruisers having a historic moment by passing each other in Sydney Harbour. We were there along with thousands of others!!!
The sun still shines on us despite the weather forecasters saying that rain was due on Sunday. It was nice talking to you, mum and dad, and catching up on all your news. Dad - hope your new car is driving well for you.
Take care
