Location: Miriam Vale to Airlie Beach, Australia

MapAfter a great nights sleep we headed off early. First fuel stop & brekkie was at Rockhampton. Met up with a few other Ulyssians at the local Maccas before heading off on a very boring stretch up the Bruce Highway to Carmilla. Saw plenty of road kill & ofcourse the ever increasing amount of motorcycles heading to Townsville. After fuelling at Carmilla, we headed for Airlie Beach, our resting place for 2 nights. Located the Island Gateway Caravan Park very easily & were very impressed with our 2 bedroom cabin. We had dinner across the road at the Jubilee Tavern & were served the most humungus serves of roast pork we had ever seen. Landed up taking doggy bags back to the caravan park for next nights tea. After a big days ride we hit the sack pretty early as we were booked an a cruise the following day & were being picked up at 7.10am for an 8 o'clock departure.
