MapDays 4-5 - London... loving it!

Yes it's true... I am the worst travel blogger ever! You can't really blame me though. With the awesome weather they are having over here in London at the moment I've been spending a lot of time just walking through the streets and just relaxing in the various parks dotted around London!

On Tuesday I caught up with Simon, who I worked with during my last stint in Edinburgh, for lunch. It was good to see him! After lunch I decided to try and find some more touristy things to do. I headed to the Museum of London, which was really quite interesting. After a bit of time just relaxing and watching the world go by at St James park, I thought I'd head to the Cabinet War Rooms, which were Churchill's headquarters during WW2. I'll be totally honest, I was actually a bit disappointed. I was expecting a massive underground bunker complex, but to me it really seemed more like a bunch of interconnected cellar rooms.

After that it was back to V&G's palace for a relaxing BBQ dinner!

Wednesday was another relaxing day. I caught up with Nige for a chat, coffee and cupcake at Notting Hill and then decided to brave Oxford Street to do some some shopping! Yes, would you believe I actually bought something! Yay!! That evening V&G, Jared and I headed to V&G's local, The Morgan Arms for dinner. The Morgan is pretty well renowned for it's food and the evenings meal was no exception! After dinner, it was back to V&G's place to pack and get ready for the next leg of my trip to Edinburgh!
