MapI had to share this...

I was browsing through a property purchase contract for a client that I am working on the conveyancing for and stumble on a page headed "Illegal Drug Manufacturing/Marijuana Grow Operation" as an add on to the purchase contract stating: '...the seller(s) hereby expresses to the best of my/our knowledge and belief the premises and property have not been used for the manufacture of illegal drugs or used as a marijuana grow operation'. The seller is then required to sign this document!

I thought it was a joke...until I asked the other legal receptionist and she said it was normal in all purchase contracts. Is this so prevalant here that its necessary? I just wonder if your doing illegal activities in your house what would compel you from not lying on your form? hahaha....arr the joys!

Thanks for the laugh today Canada.
