Location: Australia

MapBeing Irish I obviously had to celebrate St. Patty's day! I was a bit surprised to find out that it's not as big of a deal over here as it is in the US, but there is one Irish pub in town, called MJ Finnegans, so we all went dressed in our green attire. The girls and I made tshirts and decorated them, each with a different saying...I'll put a few pictures up! But the night was a success!

I can't believe I've been here for a month already, WILD! Surf fest is still going on, I believe this weekend it's actually the pros that are competing. unfortunately I won't be here because the girls and I are going on a Surf Trip to Crescent Head, should be AMAZING! I was talking to an Aussie I met last night and he said Crescent is one of his favorite spots to surf if the waves are right! We're still trying to figure out if we are going anywhere for vacation. I'd like to see New Zealand or maybe Fiji, but at the same time I came to Australia to see Australia, so a few of the girls and I were talking about maybe saving some money and taking a few short trips--perhaps Melbourne and back to Sydney to go to Bondi Beach! We'll seeeee

Classes are still going pretty well. I had my first Lab today for my Geology class and it was much harder than I thought it was going to be, but I got through it. I haven't really taken a science class since freshmen year so I'm a little rusty. Other than that I love my Advanced Creative Writing course. My other two classes, Writing the Self and Classics of Global Literature are also enjoyable...I'm your typical english major I guess...anti-math/science, but I love my english & history!

I guess that's all for now, I'm ready to get off this campus! I've been here since 10! I'm pretty stoked I swapped my friday lab to thursday so now I have Fridays off (dad, now you're not the only one with Fridays off haha)

Miss & Love you all,
Car
