Location: Australia

MapOk so now that I have a little bit of time I can actually elaborate on my trip a little bit! First things first, the we ended up getting on the wrong train and going 2 hours in the wrong direction. luckily I was with 2 of my good friends, Michelle and Sarah, and we made the best of it, but we were in the BUSH to say the least. For those of you who don't know what the "bush" of Australia is, it's the really forresty part in the with no beaches or civilization back home we might call it...the boonies, east bum f..., or the MIDDLE OF NO WHERE! So we were stuck 2 hours on the wrong direction in this town called Dungog (sounds exciting huh?), and were told that we had to go 2 hours back to where we came from, get off at Hamilton and on another train to Strathfield, then switch trains again to get us where we wanted to be in Katoomba. The 10 hour bus ride (which should have been a 4 hour bus ride) was long and exhausting, but like I said we made the best of it and entertained ourselves. The rest of the people on the train probably hated us by the end of the trip because we were loud and overtired but we weren't concerned. (Dad we were probably those people that you give "your look") Anyway, We stayed in the Katoomba YHA hostel and it was a really nice hostel. The first full day we were there was Tuesday and we went on an adventure and went and saw the Blue Mountains and the Three Sisters. If anything in the world will ever make you feel small and insignificant, it's the Blue Mountains. I stood there for 30 minutes absolutely speechless and I couldn't stop thinking about the fact that there are so many things out there that are so big and so beautiful, that I really am just a tiny little speck in the Universe. The three sisters were also really cool, and the girls and I got a kick out of the fact that there were 3 of us so we called ourselves the three sisters for the rest of the trip, such dorks! We even got to climb into the side of one of the sisters (sounds a bit weird i know), because there was a stair climb that let down into the side of one of them! If you don't know what the 3 sisters are, check out my pictures when you get a chance because they are actually really cool! They are these three vertical rock formations in the blue mountains all right next to each other. The next day was Wednesday and we went hiking through the Katoomba falls, also really gorgeous. It was a nice relaxing and short hike and we got to see some really pretty waterfalls and we took lots of great pictures. The girls and I were really close before we left for the 3 day trip, but I feel like Sarah, Michelle, and I got to know each other so much better just being away from Newcastle for a few days and being somewhere completely different! Being lost in DUNGOG and having to take a 10 hour train ride was so worth it at the end of the trip, and after a few consecutive days of rain in Newcastle, it was nice to have beautiful weather!

The rest of vacation was nice and now I'm back to school :)
Love & Miss you all!
