Location: DARWIN

MapWell we have arrived in Darwin a city Ive always wanted to visit but always thought it was too far away .
We are staying here in the caravan park and our van is parked beside a wonderful shady mango tree. We are certainly in the tropics with palm trees swaying in the gentle breeze, the sun shining and yes we are truly in paradise its even nicer than Bali------- because I speak the language here !!!!
Watched poor old Carlton get thrashed last night hope we perform better today !!
Its also rugby tonight coming from Auckland.
Chatted to Ross yesterday but with limited phone coverage it was difficult although it was all okay in the end. had a call from Geof but it was impossible without the coverage from NZ. I have two brothers that keep in touch all the time. I think I have another brother cant remember !!
We called into a gorgeous spot on the way up here called pine Creek and they had a tavern come post office come tearooms that had an outside appearance of an old train and inside like a Balinese hotel.we stopped there for a devonshire tea which was very tasty and enjoyable.
We made one overnight stop at a free camp and there was a poor old guy living in a car there poor old buggar he had just the car no tent or bed no showers and guess he used the roadside loo which stunk to high heaven. You don't know when you are well off do you ???
carol and dale had a chat today shes lucky enough to get free phone calls on her phone at present to Aussie so that's a great help. Wish mum would get on that offer with her mobile !!!!
Was thinking of the girls at work as did a pile of vacuum packing and even tried it on potatoes its such a great help Thanks Charlies Angels xxx
I know that they are all busy --- not sure why as this is the life which sometimes we are so tied up we forget there is a big world out here, I recommend it . xx
