Location: Amneville/Metz, France

MapToday we visited the city of Metz which shares government of the district of Lorraine with the city of Nancy. Metz has some very unique buildings such as the railway station and the cathedral which is among the highest in Europe and has the most “important” (guide book term) collection of stained glass in the world. Metz has lots of churches, one on an island in the Moselle River, connected by bridges. As the afternoon became very hot, we drove back to Amneville and spent a couple of hours in the Thermopolis swimming pools.
